Most heirloom rings are very unique and can be a little tricky to pair because of the gemstone it usually bears but the best rule of thumb is to match the shade of your manicure to the gem. Deep jewel tones or metallic hues are recommended in order to draw the eye to the ring. For example, emerald rings can be paired with crimson nails, sapphire rings with a deep blue manicure and ruby rings can be paired with violet, crimson, or deep blue nail colors to provide contrast.
