5 Tips to Keep Your Eyelash Extension Longer

A lot of women think that it’s a big hassle to have eyelash extensions when in fact, it’s actually very easy and convenient.
It just depends on how we take care of it! So, here are the tips that our licensed eyelash designer gave on how we can keep our eyelash extensions longer!

1. Don’t scratch your eyes!

Yes, do not ever ever scratch your eyes. It might make the extensions fall off and worse, it might make your eyes irritated!
If your eyes gets itchy or you felt the need to scratch your eyes (which we know happen sometimes), scratch it very very lightly.

2. When washing your face, do it as soft as possible.

Washing the face is a MUST for all women. When doing it with eyelash extensions on, do it very very softly especially on the eyes. Getting your extensions wet is okay, just make sure to dry it after washing!

3. Do not put pressure on your eyes when you sleep.

As much as possible, avoid using eye patches or sleeping masks because putting pressure on your eyes make the extensions bend or change directions. When this happens, the extensions fall of easily.

4. Don’t put mascara or use eyelash curlers.

Eyelash extensions make you eyelashes fuller and adds volume to it. So mascara and eyelash curlers isn’t really necessary when you have extensions. If you want your eyelashes to look like you have mascara on, you can always customize the length and thickness of the extensions. Also the curl! There are a lot of choices like the J curl, C curl, etc.

5. And lastly, avoid using oil-based face products especially near the extensions.

Oil is the number enemy of the glue we use to stick eyelash extensions to the natural lashes. Oil-based contents easily penetrate into the borders between the extensions and natural lashes. using products with oil-based contents will cause the extensions to fall off easily.

In addition to this, do not remove your eyelash extensions by yourself! Some people become worried about the balance of the extensions when it starts to fall off and they remove it by themselves. That’s a big NO! Removing it by force without an eyelash designer will lead to damage or worse, loss of natural lashes!!
